Minds On, a leading Central Ohio digital marketing agency, announced the launch of a new program to support neighborhood schools and increase childhood literacy.

COLUMBUS, OH, December 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Minds On, a leading Central Ohio digital marketing agency, announced the launch of a new program to assistance neighborhood schools and increase childhood literacy. This holiday season, the Minds On Learning initiative will select an individual Central Ohio school for the program. Minds On Studying is developed to excite, encourage and grow students’ reading skills.

Minds On Learning will supply a select school with an assortment of age-appropriate books and will use a book purchase reward system to assist stimulate students’ interest in reading. This program is intended as a seed program that can attract and funnel extra private donations to spread and strengthen literacy in Central Ohio.

“Since our founding, Minds On has sponsored a yearly program of Giving Back by adopting a local loved ones in need,” stated Tom Augustine, President of Minds On. “This year we wanted to do something that would touch many various families. Minds On Learning is an chance to make a real difference within the lives of children, not just during the holidays, but all year round. We’re hoping to do something that might change their lives forever. Considering that announcing the program, we’ve been touched by the responses we’ve received. There are a lot of great teachers and students out there. They just need a little support.”

The 1st school selected for the Minds On Learning program is Eastgate Elementary, which is part of the Columbus City Schools. The new initiative will supply classrooms with books and an incentive program which will award students having a Minds On Studying Stamp for every book they read. As the students read a predetermined numbers of stamps, they’ll be rewarded with the ability to select a book from the Scholastic Book Club – all at no price to the student or household. The goal is to create a love for reading and to get more books into the hands of students who typically can’t afford to buy books.

Minds On encourages other people to donate to the program and participate as a volunteer tutor. The average book price, by way of the program, is two to 4 dollars. A ten-dollar donation could mean a new book for five individual students.
